itch.io only shows you today’s numbers. Views today, downloads today, maybe a rating. No history, no trend, no way to know if your game is actually doing better than last week.
IndieGameScout fixes that. It’s a desktop app that checks the stats you care about, every day, on your own computer, and charts them over time.
Here’s what it can do:
- Watch any game. Paste any itch.io game link - yours, a friend’s, one that’s doing well - and follow its rating, rating count, and price day by day.
- Follow jams. Add any jam’s results page and watch the top 20 shuffle around as votes come in. Pin your entry and follow your climb up the list.
- Track every game you’ve made. Connect your itch.io account with a private link from your settings and it pulls in views, downloads, purchases, and earnings for everything you’ve published.
Your data lives in files on your own machine. No account, no cloud, no subscription. Pay once, $12 or more if you want to support the work, and it’s yours forever. It checks on its own every 12 hours, or whenever you hit Refresh.
It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Updates install themselves, so fixes reach you without any work on your end.

I wrote about why I built it and why this one is pay-once instead of a subscription here: How I Built IndieGameScout.
